- Carry out environmental and social appraisals of development-finance projects
- Assess projects against international environmental and social standards
- Run gap analyses of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments against Environmental and Social Action Plans
- Produce due-diligence findings and recommendations for lenders and sponsors
- Support monitoring of agreed action plans over the project lifecycle
- Contribute to methodology and template development

Ihr Profil
- Environmental track: environmental impact assessment, pollution and resource efficiency, biodiversity, climate risk
- Social track: labour and working conditions, community health and safety, land acquisition and resettlement, indigenous peoples, stakeholder engagement
- World Bank Environmental and Social Standards, IFC Performance Standards, standards of comparable development banks (ADB, IDB, AfDB, EBRD, EIB) or Equator Principles
- Fluent English, written and spoken (C1+); additional languages an asset
Qualifikationen
- Master's degree, or equivalent, in a directly relevant field - environmental or agricultural sciences, natural sciences, environmental engineering for the environmental track; a relevant social-science discipline for the social track
- Personal project references completed after 2020, each 10+ expert working days
- References demonstrating both World Bank ESS and IFC Performance Standards
- Permanent employment preferred over freelance for this mandate
