Business Consultant – Asset & Investment Management (m/f/d)

You are a hands-on business consultant who reads a strategy, understands what it means for asset management in practice, and designs the concept the client can execute. You translate a global strategy into a European target concept and then a Germany-specific one, design the target operating model, and shape how external asset managers are selected and managed. Permanent role, Frankfurt am Main, with 2 to 3 days per week on site in Frankfurt and Munich during the first two months.
Ihre Aufgaben
- Analyse the client's global strategy and translate it into a European target concept, then a Germany-specific concept
- Design the target operating model: processes, roles, responsibilities and governance
- Shape the framework for selecting and working with external asset managers, covering criteria, long-list and shortlist approach and decision gates
- Run workshops with senior stakeholders in Europe and align with global strategy owners
- Prepare decision papers, concept documents and an implementation roadmap
- Bridge the gap between global strategy and the day-to-day work of European teams

Ihr Profil
- Target operating model and process design
- Governance design for asset management functions
- External manager selection frameworks
- Workshop facilitation with senior stakeholders
- Decision papers and implementation roadmaps
- Asset management fundamentals: mandates, manager selection, fee models, custody
Qualifikationen
- Several years of experience in asset management or investment management, either in consulting or on the buy side
- Proven track record in turning strategy into concepts: target operating models, process design and governance
- Solid understanding of asset management topics such as mandates, manager selection, fee models and custody
- Strong workshop facilitation, writing and presentation skills
- Available 2 to 3 days per week on site in Frankfurt and Munich during the first two months
- Desirable: German language skills
- Desirable: background at a strategy consultancy, Big 4 or investment consultancy
- Desirable: knowledge of the German and European institutional market
- Desirable: experience with organisations headquartered in the United States
- Desirable: CFA, CAIA or a comparable qualification
